Glasurbyen — a gingerbread harbour town, built one house at a time
Glasurbyen does not collect, transmit, sell or share any personal data. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no third-party SDKs and makes no network requests of any kind. Everything you do in the app — every house you bake, every setting you change — stays on your device.
UserDefaults and a local Application Support file. This never leaves your device. The camera is used only when you tap "Photograph your house" to add a picture of your own gingerbread house to your album. The app asks for camera permission the first time, explains why in the system prompt, and never opens the camera without your consent. If you decline, you can still choose a photo from your library instead.
Choosing a photo uses Apple's system photo picker, which does not grant the app access to your library — it only hands over the single photo you pick. Saving a finished house's picture card back to your photos uses add-only permission, so the app can add a picture but never browse or read your existing library.
If you turn on the optional daily Advent reminder in Settings, the app schedules a local notification on your device. No data is sent to any server to do this, and the app asks for notification permission only at the moment you switch the reminder on.
Glasurbyen does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children, because it collects no information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be published at this same address with a new effective date.
Questions about this policy or the app can be sent through the support page.
